Describe to me the interface. I've tried some "Wizardry" like web based interfaces, but the latency of net connections made them unusable. I could imagine text interfaces with a couple of symbols after each noun (for "explore", "get", etc) kinda like a text adventure, but it seems like that's better served with a telnet session, and could quickly lead to exploring the object hierarchy rather than immersively exploring the environment. There are some issues with a centralized player database and security, but I think that could get worked out. Re point #3: "yes, yes, yes!" I've never gotten into MUDs as social experience, I like having time to edit my thoughts (not that that really helps), but I've enjoyed building environments with MUD engines.
