John - are you sure the new timeframe is correct? How many steps/years of evolution are humans away from chimpanzees? That's seems to be the equivalent evolutionary step he's trying to make. One other possibility is that these Cataclysmatologists are just plain old wrong: he did use the clarfying term "suggest", which means this isn't fact, and that the 10,000 -EC date is ''exactly how he wanted it, regardless of its evolutionary leap''. I think we need more clarification from Joe on what he was actually attempting here. Either way, whatever the date finally becomes, we should modify the calendar to include the "suggest" guesswork. --[[User:MorbusIff|Morbus Iff]] 13:16, 12 Sep 2004 (EDT)

To be honest, My thinking writing the entry was "Ten Million Years", although I did want them to be pretty radically different given the time frame- I really did just drop a bucket of zeroes.

(Humans to Chimps is about 10mil, which was indeed what I was thinking)

I knew someone would get around to defining "us" implicitly at some point. Well done. --Qwentyth Pyre 23:33, 11 Sep 2004 (EDT)
