I wanna know what makes or breaks an RPG within these jade halls of GameGrene. What RPGs would you consider to have:

> The best story

> The best combat system

> The coolest character designs

Ok gamers, there are secret skulls all over the game. Well not exactly every where but there are enough to keep you busy. Ill give you the location for one of them but the rest is up to you. on the second level, right at the begining, your pelican crashes.

So, for various secret and treasonous reasons, I've been investigating MUDs lately, and the process of setting one up. Since I know nothing about them, I've been asking around and trusting people at their word, based on a shared knowledge on what we're trying to build. This resulted in a suggestion of an LPMud using Skylib/MudOS (am I even saying that right? I have no idea). Is this a good choice?

After five months of waiting, Growlanser: Generations for PS2 finally came out. Anyone else playing it? In poking around, it looks like a) no one has ever heard of it, b) no one seems to care - most notably, the GameFAQs.com boards are active whatsoever.

I love music gaming. Not just Dance Dance Revolution and its ilk, or the Sony-produced Amplitude and Frequency, but weirdo stuff like Gitaroo Man, Parappa, Space Channel 5, and embarassing attempts like Britney's Dance Beat.

Picked up Front Mission 4 for the PS2 this weekend, and noticed it uses "Durandal" (code name for a research facility) and "Elsa" (the name of the main female character). In Xenosaga (one of my favorite games of all time, with a sequel appearing this year or the next), the Durandal and Elsa were two of the primary ships.

With three new consoles on the way (the new Nintendo, Xbox 2, and Playstation 3), and an indeterminate number of gaming portables (the next N-Gage [gahahahah] and various other phone bastards, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, and a new Gameboy [Nintendo has suggested that the upcoming DS is not a GB replacement]), which ones are on your must-have list?
