In the pitch blackness you exchange greetings, and stand awkwardly for a moment, listening to each other breathe. This is interrupted by a brief flare of light from far across the room as Morboko opens a door and vanishes out into a hallway in search of the facilities, and in the moment that dim light fills the room you can see everyone else on the team, standing beside a black Ninja Burger delivery van.

Then it is dark again.

The Dispatcher comes over your headsets: "Well well well. Guys, meet your new navigator. We started with seven, and dropped to four, which is one fewer than we like to have out on deliveries, so Rin here will be helping you out. Morboko may be joining us in the future, after she finishes up some other tasks we have for someone with her talents. But for now it'll be just you five. You can all consider yourselves full fledged graduates."

There are a few awkward seconds and then the lights come on, all at once. Blinding.

Blinking away tears, you look around and find yourselves in an immense subterranean garage. Along the walls are parked an assortment of vehicles - vans, sedans, motorcycles - and closest to you is, of course, your delivery van, keys in the ignition. It has, of course, stalled out, and the back end of the van is backed right up against the wall, where the exhaust pipe sticks through into the chamber you just came from. Since it currently has something stuffed in the exhaust, it has stalled out.

Faintly, above the odor of oil and exhaust, you can make out the aroma of burgers and fries. A peek through the van's side window reveals an order, waiting for delivery.

Above the windshield is a small LED readout. It currently says 11:37.

"I hope this shirt comes out as easily as it went in"
Diving to the ground to commence ninja shirt sleeve extraction. If this takes longer than a few seconds, I intend to amputate. "Please let there be a good rusty spot."

Out of curiosity wouldn't it be easier to just pop the car into neutral and then roll it away from the wall?

The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen. - Frank Lloyd Wright

"That would make the extraction easier, but I say I could still do it. The amputation option anyway."

"what, don't we get some ninja-qualifying badges or something?

Anyyway, all this work has made me hungry...where can I find some cooking materials around here? Are any of you hungry too?"

[OOC]
Wow, somebody has to have AMAZING driving skills in order to back the exhaust pipe up through a hole in the wall. I applaud them.

"Well guys, let's hit the road. Look's like we've deliveries to be makin', and only 11 minutes and 30 odd seconds to make them in!"

Bozuko jumps into the shiny delivery van, and, finding a seat with the words "Tadokoro Bozuko: Spotter" embroidered on the seat back, sits down. He immediately begins to organize his mobile survellience equipment in an efficient fashion, setting up his sun roof periscope, traffic rader, L.A.P.D. police car sensor, and other strange doodads whose purpose is somewhat cryptic, but obviously important.

[OOC] Sorry about no post last week, I was on holiday [/OOC]

Assuming the driver's seat window is open, Toru leaps in Dukes of Hazzard style. Failing that, he takes the more conventional approach of the door. "I hope you don't mind me being presumptuous everyone."

After sitting down, Toru briefly familiarizes himself with the layout of the controls, activates the garage door opener, and prepares to start the car as soon as possible. "Let me know when that shirt is out Skipito."

My apologies for the lack of new post, guys. There is a rather preoccupying work situation ensuing at present which has me pretty distracted. I'd like to try to get back onto a Sunday schedule so I'd ask your patience until Sunday the 20th, when we can get this going again.

Please, do feel free to chatter in-character for a bit. You can pretend the Dispatcher has gone to the bathroom. :)

When the van is finally moved away from the wall, Kitaro opens the back doors to check out what in there.

"So, nobody wants to eat, huh?
Guess it's one vegiburger to go, then"

"So...... you like..... stuff?"

Attempting to spark conversation, but obviously not very good at it (-2 Standing Out), Bozuko makes the awkward silence even more awkward.

"Actually, Kitaro, I'll take a Samurai Chicken Sandwich, if you don't mind. Anyone want to split an Onion Death Blossom?"
