Site Notices
For various reasons I can't yet divulge, I've been thinking about a three column layout for Gamegrene. I can't say that I like the cookie-cutter design of three columns, but I also can't argue for its usability and space handling.
I've turned on account commenting only. Sorry, anons.
So...Morbus the Great...what's the word on personal avatars?
For those wondering "what the hell happened to recent posts?", please bear with us. This is part of the planned Maintenance Cycle I alluded to at the end of November. We're undergoing some style changes here, and today is the day we're striving to add the new category system to all the articles (which is why the recent posts is crazy - it's seeing the article modifications as new data you'd be interested in). The new category system was in place when the site first switched to its new backend, we just never found the free time to address all the previous content.
"Humor" notably missing, though possibly not for future columns
"Advice"?

Any way to get rid of the "online gambling" spam that has been showing up?
Perhaps do like every other BB in the universe does, and only allow registered users to post?
Recent articles in GameGrene have made me just shake my head.
Gamegrene will be undertaking a maintenance cycle soon, probably starting within the next few weeks or around the new year. The biggest change will be an update of the backend software, along with some styling and design fixes (like a larger font for the articles and comments, blah blah blah - still fiddling with that).
We've announced our first game, Ghyll:

We've got some more things in mind for the future, but if you've any suggestions yourself, certainly let us know here.
One of the missing features from the old site was "Our Writers" - the list of people who had submitted articles, as well as links to the articles themselves. This, thankfully, has been added back in (without the real name and bio though - that'll involve some profile related work; soon).
