Tabletop Gaming
Hello all, I am d20 Sapphire and I wanted to investigate the situation of women in gaming. I've been going around trying to find people who've been in the community for a while and would love to share their experiences and opinions on the situation of women in pen and paper gaming. My blog can be found here: 20swp.blogspot.com
I'd love to talk to anyone and everyone with a lot of experience in the community, men and women.
I got a few questions. What are the methods for planning a game. so far i have come up with this method of an event web/time line. Is this common among gms. I pre-roll all encounters as well there is no "Random" encounters in this game but mostly I'm just looking for tips on how to make a better game not necessarily dramatic or Deep in RP though last time we had some rp a PC woke up in a flaming building while another PC on watch was giggling like a ninny.
If you aren't familiar with Fear of Girls, for shame. Watch this...now.
That is all.

I have been searching forever for a copy of this DVD for my collection. I already have every other D&D documentary I can seem to find.
I have searched ebay, amazon, torrent sites, even their own website which seams to no longer be up.
I would gladly pay for this DVD.
Could someone please show me a link? Or if you have an extra copy please could you help me out?
thanks
Some few weeks ago, I happened across a mention of a Lulu.com contest relating to a new product line of theirs: photographic mini books. These are high-quality pocket-sized books that must be purchased in sets of 3 or 4, with a "break-even" price point of something like $30.
The gaming group that I DM for has been playing the same game (characters) for twenty years. We recently ( a couple of sessions ago) began the painful switch to D&D 3.5. We had a topic come up on our gaming forum (yes, we have a private site devoted to the game -- how nerdy is that?) that I thought others might find useful, or have comments about. I'm trying to be a stickler for the player describing what the character is doing. By default, if you haven't said it -- your not doing it. Often times this contradicts what the character would logically be inclined to do.

Some of you know me, although I've been pretty scarce around here over the last couple of years. I publish a column here called Evil GM Tricks, and this post is aimed at anyone who enjoys that column. It's also inspired by the DM Tricks of the Trade post, which I think is a great idea.
So, the final version of the Pathfinder RPG is coming in a few months - by association, this is the next big thing for 3.5 rules. I was curious if any members are a fan of Pathfinder, and have been following the adventure paths and other supplements that are out? How do you feel about it? Great as it seems? I have the first full AP, but never actually read it - I was impressed by the production values, however, and immense amount of information available (I *hate* rules; I'm a story guy only). And it looks like the fans are also producing pretty decent material too:
there is a Voice inside your head
the Voice tells you things about the future, and the past
things about yourself, and about other people
sometimes good things, sometimes bad things
and sometimes very, very bad things
some people think you're losing your mind
but the Voice says you're not losing
the Voice says you're gaining
I have been mostly operating under the radar with Vox, but now I'm nearing publication so I thought maybe I should start telling people about my game.
A 12 page sampler of the game is now available at Scribd:
