Tabletop Gaming

Well, we've decided to start a new campaign.
My group and I also decided to replace wizards, dungeons and magic swords with hackers, space stations and big guns. That means a futuristic campaign.
Now, we've been mulling over the available options for a Sci-Fi campaign and I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations to make regarding:

I have been running the same game with the same players for nearly twenty years. I am beginning to feel like things are getting stale. Do you guys think that I should begin planning a series of "wind-up" adventures to reveal the highest level plot mysteries and create an eventual showdown with the "Big Boss"?

Before I go all wordy I'd pose the question...who's intersted in reading about my homebrew setting and the campaigns I've run in it over the last several years that have really shaped and changed the world as a whole? We've talked on Gamegrene before about "setting-as-campaign" and I don't think I've ever exlained what I meant by that properly. It's a big world, with a huge timeline that I've jumped back and forth in with the various campaigns I've run. It's equal parts mine, the players, and the industry professionals who's setting ideas I've stolen and mined and woven together to make a cohesive world.

I've taken it upon myself to run a game set in the Dark Sun setting with some friends in the area. I'm considering posting events and problems here on Gamegrene, in the spirit of Zipdrive's campaign forums.

Okay, perhaps i should explain myself a touch before i begin.
In short, i'm about to make my first attempt at GMing, i've only been playing table top games(D&D) for the past couple of months, my main RPG "talents" come from MUDing and i'm at a bit of a loss as where to begin.

In case some of you may be interested, but don't have the time/option to delve into it, here's a link to a powerpoint presentiation with a nice intro to the world. It includes some background, descriptions and differences drom other campaign worlds.

I've always encouraged odd uses for spells and magic/alchemical items. I love the creativity some players will excercise when all they have left are two 0 level spells for the day. I can't remember where I read it, but the example of using Spider Climb to help a small handed character carry extra mugs of ale back to table always stuck with me and since then I have been striving to get as much use out of minor magical effects as possible.

Players of my campaign, please do not read...yes, I mean you!

Right, I decided that rather than hogging Zip's thread with my Journal updates forever more, I should start a new thread.

Here I will periodically post links to the latest updates of my campaign journals, for anyone who is interested.

Hey, I just thought I'd continue reporting on my fledgling GMing experiences (i.e. my campaign), but then I thought... will anyone read it?

So, is anyone interested in reading this abbreviated campaign blog/advice asking thing, or am I just wearing down my keyboard?
